IPL Auction 2022 Date, Time, Retained & Released Players List: Indian Premier League (IPL) is the biggest cricket league in the world. Today we will know about IPL 2022 Auction Date, Time, Retained & Released Players List. IPL 2022 auction will be held on 12th and 13th February 2022 in Bengaluru. This time you will get to see something new in the auction. Due to this, the fans of IPL (Indian Premier League) are very happy. This time 10 teams have participated in IPL 2022.
This year in IPL you will get to see two new teams Lucknow and Ahmedabad. A total of 590 players have been shortlisted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2022. KL Rahul will be captain of the Lucknow IPL Team. And Hardik Pandya will be captain of the Ahmedabad IPL Team. KL Rahul was playing in the team Punjab Kings last year. And Hardik Pandya was playing for the Mumbai Indians team last year.
IPL 2022 Auction Date & Time
The BCCI had announced the date and time of the IPL auction 2022 on 23 December 2021. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has announced the auction on 12 and 13 February 2022 in Bangalore. This year 10 teams will participate in this Mega Auction.
IPL 2022 Auction Date = 12th & 13th February in Bangalore
Last year 8 teams took part in IPL 2022. And the names of all those teams are Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Lucknow Nawabs and Ahmedabad Lions are the two new teams this year.
IPL 2022 Retained & Released players
Last year 8 teams participated in IPL and this year 10 teams will play. In IPL 2022, all the teams can retain only 4 players. And all the other players will have to be released. Which should not include a maximum of 3 Indian players and 2 foreign players.
Lucknow and Ahmedabad These two teams are associated with Tata IPL 2022. BCCI has also drawn some rules for these two teams. Can take 3 players from the issued players of old teams, in which there should not be more than 1 foreign player. Lucknow Team has selected KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi. And Ahmedabad has selected Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill.

The purse value of all the teams in IPL 2022 is 90 Crore. No team can spend more money in IPL auction than this. Punjab Kings purse has 72 Crores before the auction starts. Punjab Kings (PBKS) has the highest Purse Value before the auction starts. Till now PBKS has spent only 18 Crores on Players.
